IRCS Expresses Gratitude to its Blood Donors 14.06.2009
This year’s theme for World Blood Donor Day 2009 is “Achieving 100 percent non-remunerated donation of blood and blood components”. Experts on blood services emphasized unanimously in a seminar hosted by the IRCS, “This can be achieved by blood donor motivation, retention of regular voluntary donors and motivation of replacement donors to become voluntary.”

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) has developed its four-year Strategic Development Plan (2009-12), together with sectoral goals and objectives in line with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ Global Agenda Goals. Red Cross Global Alliance to battle HIV Launched 01.12.2008
On the occasion of World AIDS Day 2008, the Indian Red Cross Society along with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (The International Federation) launched the “South Asia Red Cross Red Crescent Global Alliance on HIV” as part of a global effort to scale up HIV programming.
