Indian Red Cross Society reaches out for the Tsunami Victims

An Earthquake measuring magnitude 9.0(revised from 8.9) hit Japan on 11th March 2011. The earthquake caused extensive human casualty as well as infrastructure damage in many areas. To provide aid to  the Tsunami victims in Japan, the Indian Red Cross Society (NHQ) received donation from local donors which the National Headquarters had forwaded to the Japanese Red Cross on 17th October 2011.

Dr S.P Agarwal , Secretary General, IRCS hands over a cheque of a  sum of Rs   Rs 4, 87, 30,558 had  to Mr Hajime Hayashi, Minister and Deputy chief of Mission,  Embassy of Japan for the Japanese Red Cross.
